Project. The first part of this work will be done this Saturday 26 at 6:00 p.m. in a workshop where the people of the town and everyone who comes close will mold containers together with the artist that together will form a piece that will contain soil and seeds. The idea of the artist is to create a sculpture between all of us that stands at the entrance to the town hall and that tells us about the pillars on which every society must grow: respect and love. This work is created within the framework of interventions against gender violence promoted by the Government of La Rioja. Ventosa and its kilometer of art add up and for this they sow, metaphorically and literally, seeds of respect, dialogue and love, through art. Process. Each one made a bowl-like container to plant “seeds of respect.” Fingerprints and some words such as love, respect, solidarity, etc… and proper names were marked on the outer face. The second part of the intervention consisted in the creation of two pieces, like large ceramic seedbeds, made up of pieces and sections of all the pieces created by the residents, showing the textures, words and names, so that everyone can recognize their contribution and recognize themselves in the work. On Saturday, September 4, the population was summoned again to install the final two pieces on the columns of the town hall and their participation, we filled it with earth and planted seeds of different types of flowers, as diverse as people are. Now, these ceramic seedbeds belong to everyone and are a means of communication between the population and the institution.
The proposal continues, since everyone is responsible for the seeds to grow and the flowers to stay alive. The step between the pieces to access the municipal council must be the commitment to continue working to build a respectful society, moving away from abuse and physical and psychological violence from our day to day.
